It’s your monthly tarotscopes! Read for your sun, moon & rising for a 3-card exploration of the weeks ahead.
For a more personalized astrology or tarot reading, my books are currently open for November & December.
Today we’re talking about:
The New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st
Spookiness, shadows, and death — but fun
Tarotscopes for each zodiac sign with reflection questions, practices, and more
Death & Co
Scorpio Season is the height of Spooky Season — reminding us of the impermanence of it all. Scorpio teaches us that if we can dance with the concept of death (aka change, letting go, transformations), we’re a lot more powerful.
As a Scorpio 5th House (house of creativity, kids & pleasure) girlie, I’m delighted by the spooky, scary, and macabre and thrive on the shedding, composting, and rebirth of it all. I don’t shy away from the mystery, I want to play there! Which is probably why I do what I do.
Scorpio reminds us to walk in the shadows. When we step into the spaces we fear, we gain access to a safety deposit box full of gold with our freakin name on it.
But move at a natural pace.
The fixed quality of Scorpio reminds us that change and letting go is a gradual process. It’s not helpful to resist it, but you can’t rush it either.
The Scorpio New Moon
Finally a fresh moon cycle post-eclipse season.
Happening on November 1, 2024 at 9° Scorpio, this moon — true to Scorpio form — goes a lot deeper than just a blank slate to manifest upon.
With Mars opposing Pluto (Scorpio’s traditional and modern rulers) at 29° of Cancer and Capricorn respectively, we can anticipate power struggles, intensity, and a whole lotta destructive tendencies. AND ALSO phoenix-like rebirths and transformations.
Mars is also in their pre-retrograde shadow, so whatever is going down right about now will come up again in January, when they moonwalk back to this degree.
Work with it
Find Scorpio in your birth chart to better understand what area of life is being activated at this new moon
Get clear on what’s already transforming and what you want to transform
Observe any triggers or activations and consider them useful information and fuel, rather than a cause to react impulsively
Tease out the gold (the superpowers and super qualities) within your “scary” parts
Commit to letting go and finding a new way forward
This is a deeply alchemical cycle — work with its magic by being patient (transmutation takes time!) and rolling with the changes.

What’s a Tarotscope?
It’s like a horoscope, but instead of interpreting planetary movements (although I sometimes mention those :), I pull a card for each zodiac sign and share the themes and energy coming up at this time.
Read the cards for your Sun, Rising, and Moon signs for a richer three-card spread.
If you don’t know your Sun (that’s the sign you’d typically read your horoscope for), Moon, and Rising/Ascendant signs, get your birth time and city, if possible, and plug it in over here.
Here are your cards for November 2024:
Scorpio - 6 of Cups
Astrological association: Sun in Scorpio (look at that synchronicity!)
It’s time to share.
Keeping others at a distance is an effective protective strategy ... until it’s not. Disconnection from your heart is emotionally untenable. Soften the shell you’ve built up to let others see the real you.
This signals the growth that comes from facing and feeling your difficult emotions and inner experiences. Optimism and joy are your birthright, start getting on that wavelength by being generous with yourself and others.
Reflection: How have I been closed off or in protection mode? Where and how am I ready to open my heart up?
Practice: Inner child play. Do something you as a kid would find really fun. Commit to it fully.
