In Scorpio we’re given the opportunity to deep dive, feel it to heal it, compost, and regenerate.

Height of the season
As a fixed sign, Scorpio is an expression of the peak of the season. In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s autumn. This is when the leaves fully turn and fall away, a riot of color and beauty before things go underground.
In this season, we’re asked to assess what’s truly ready to be shed and what we want to double down on in an intimate way over the coming months.
The water element of it all is about deep feeling, connection, empathy, and intuition.
Fixed water brings to mind the ecosystem of a lake. Think depth, breadth, and — in the case of sediment — slow and steady transformation and nutrients.
This is why Scorpio is often associated with shadow work, because of the willingness and strength required to investigate what’s underneath the surface.
Being able to not only face the darkness but willing to navigate it is powerful.
Mars
In Scorpio, Mars’ rulership is more strategic than overtly aggressive (like they might be in Aries). They wait for the right time to strike by observing, gathering intel, and understanding the motivations of those around them.
Mars-ruled Scorpio brings a distinct vibe (moody! broody!) that’s only motivated from their innermost depths. If there’s not a strong, passionate inclination toward something, it ain’t worth it to Scorpio!

Hot takes
People love to drag Scorpio — especially about their intensity, sexuality, and obsessive nature. In my experience, this shows up in much more complex and interesting ways.
I think people are intimidated by the intuitive and empathic nature of Scorpio, often feeling a little too seen by them. It’s like Scorpio has an innate understanding of our inner motivations and will call out our bullshit if pressed. All while keeping their own armor up.
So people get reactive and write them off as too intense and call it a day.
All that said, Scorpio can take things a little too far or over invest in the idea of their inner knowing and inflate situations out of paranoia and anxiety. It’s two sides of a coin!
